Call for Flexible Fund reviewers: Join our Opportunity Review Panel
The EDI Hub+ is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Opportunity Review Panel and contribute to the application review process for the Flexible Fund . This is a chance to make a tangible impact while promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in research and innovation in Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
We invite applications from academics (at all career stages, including Postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers), technicians, professional services staff, and researchers and innovators from industry across all sectors. Whether you are experienced in reviewing or new to the process, we encourage you to get involved. Support and guidance will be provided to those with limited experience.
We particularly welcome individuals with lived experience. Lived experience refers to the unique knowledge an individual gains through direct, first-hand experience of living their life. Lived experience refers to a person’s understanding of what life is like for them as a unique individual, how they are treated by others, and their experience of navigating the systems and processes embedded in society around them. In an EDI context, this includes those who are underrepresented (insufficient or inadequate representation), underserved (disadvantaged because they are inadequately provided for), or minoritised (treated as distinct from and less important than the dominant population). What to expect:
- Review process: Panel members will review up to five Flexible Fund applications.
- Panel meetings: Engage in discussions to collectively rank proposals by funding priority (one panel meeting online)
