EDI Hub+ Conference, 24 March 2026
All attendees, speakers, team members and volunteers at the event are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody. This code of conduct is in line with the University of Leeds Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Code of Conduct and the EDICa Code of Conduct for events.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact or messages, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the EDI Hub+ team immediately. The EDI Hub+ team will be identifiable by badges (if the event is in person) or via their name on Zoom.
The EDI Hub+ team will be happy to assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.
We expect all parties to follow these rules at events including social activities such as coffee and lunch breaks.
